Each year, the Shark City Nationals presents a unique martial arts experience. The SCN's location, the San Jose Convention Center located in the heart of downtown San Jose is within walking distance from restaurants, brew-pubs, sports bars, movies, theatres, entertainment and shopping. Our centralized location sets the stage for a fun,exciting and thrilling competition with activities for everyone.As your hosts, we are proud to be a part of BASKA (Bay Area Sport Karate Association). The Shark City Nationals brings together the Nation's finest officials, competitors, teams, coaches and spectators for inspiring performances and the most memorable of good times. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a new comer to the art and sport, the Shark City Nationals & Tiger Claw KungFuMagazine.com Championships aims to be your most exciting and enjoyable event this year.
We are pleased to offer 350+ divisions, 50+ Grand Champions, 150+ Chinese Martial Art Divisions including several Tai Chi Divisions, 1st thru 3rd places in Kung Fu Southern & Northern Fist Styles, Contemporary Wushu Chang Quan, Nan Quan, Short & Long Weapons.
As we did for 2008, we will be giving out 1st thru 8th places in ALL BASKA Divisions, Cash Awards for Men's Black Belt Fighting Overall Grand & Adult Black Belt Forms Overall Grand, 18+ Black Belt Team Fighting.
We are honored to be continuing the tradition of being the Bay Area's Biggest and the Most Exciting Summer Time Martial Arts Championships and bringing you the exciting night-time show featuring Shark City Super Fights.

The San Jose Convention Center (South Hall) is situated in beautiful downtown San Jose with access to all major freeways, adjacent to the Light Rail Transit System, which connects to the Corporate Corridor and ends at California's Great America, northern California's Biggest amusement park.The hotels are conveniently located all around the tournament site and just three short miles from the San Jose Airport. Ideally placed for both the leisure and business traveler, downtown hotels are directly next door to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, within an hour's drive of San Francisco and in the heart of Silicon Valley.
